Our Love Story

A southern boy from Texas and a "Philly" girl from PA, we found home in each other. We're always chasing the sun - planning our days around the sunrise, sunset, and whatever adventure lies in between. We love stargazing and have been lucky to witness several shooting stars together! Whether traveling near or far, our favorite place is definitely side-by-side.

We met online - almost not at all. Distance, timing, illness, and politics were stacked against us, but we beat the odds. Playing pool on our 1st date revealed our shared love for games that has grown into tradition, complete with a yearly game tracker (Jennifer is 4-year reigning champ). On our 2nd date, while exploring the O Mansion in DC, Justin took a simple selfie - that changed everything!

 Justin proposed at the Georgetown Waterfront, at the spot of our first kiss. For two people always in pursuit of the sun, Justin chose June 21, 2024, the summer solstice, as the perfect day to begin our forever. From the first shooting star they shared, Jennifer made a quiet wish, and Justin has been making it come true ever since. 

The answer was always yes.

Our love is strengthened by the family around us. In 2024, we blended our family and filled it with laughter, games, and adventure. Life with Ryder and Adriana brings constant joy, and we’re beyond grateful for the love and support of our extended family in Virginia and Texas - the Kochanowiczs, Perez-Kims, Padillas, and Webbs - who have helped make our love what it is today.
